Cross Country-poem/rap

Walt: write a rap/poem.

Cross Country

Sweat slides down my face
Persevered to finish the race
I really want to come first
Everything just gets worse

Jogging at the very start
All I hear is my dangerous heart
Beating at a very high rate
At the end...I feel great

I have to try to beat the time
The mud looks like slime
My friends are very slow
But their energy tends to grow

At the end, I start to sprint
The marshals give me positive hints
Bouncing on the wet grass
Wear shoes to not stand on glass

Tired as can be
I can see a lot of trees
Competing with other people
Cheating shouldn't be legal

Running in a big group
Going through loop to loops
I see Claudia  way ahead
“WAIT UP CLAUDIA!!!” I said

Basketball rap/poem

Walt: write a rap/poem.

Basketball

The ball soaring through the air
Everything is going fine
We all try to play fair
When I shoot the ball I shine
Dribbling the ball for a while

Sharing the ball with others
The opposition has no smile
I might want to teach my brothers
We are winning by a mile
I’m not showing off
But they haven't been winning in a while

They suck! Cough! Cough!
The coach yells “Protect the ball with your shoulders”
If they’re more skilled than you, play tough
It doesn’t matter if they are older

Pevet, shoot and pass

Walt: be creative.

Netball-my choice

Pivot, shoot and pass
Today we played as a class
Defence, attack and some other things
Joy and laughter is what netball brings
Running, burning fat off
I play netball even with a cough
Aiming for more than 30 goals
In netball there is only two poles
Glen Innes school is truly the best
Honestly, we will beat the rest
We have only lost one game
Win win win, that's our aim
7 people on the court
Netball is my favourite sport
Goal Shoot is my position
Netball players are on a mission
